Lovely hotel in a great location. Our family room was over the road from the main building, it was huge and even had its own garden. Brilliant staff who were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine, nothing particularly special but in a delightful room. It's a great hotel, a perfect base for us to explore Amsterdam. Highly recommended.

Good sized room, loyal staff, excellent location. We had a junior suite, and we enjoyed it. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Midtown Grill that was only 15 minutes' walk away. We would stay here again...

best thing is the tranquility of the area and hotel staff, friendly and willing to help in any way. room is spacious and pleasant. complete bathroom with hydro-massage bath, perfect when you arrive at night tired after a day's walk. Well located to go on foot to the museums and city center.
The huge but heavily used bed, which didn't make it very comfortable. The cleaning was very superficial and incomplete, the shelves in the bathroom were white with dust and were not cleaned in our three days of stay. As amenities of the bathroom a large bottle of hand soap and a bottle of gel-shampoo, both almost empty on all three days. The nearest one is a few meters away, but it costs 70 euros a day. You can park in the same street if there is space, for 32 euros a day. The cheapest way to leave your car is in a car park next to the station, 35 minutes walk from the hotel (you have to cross the whole centre), which costs 20 euros a day.

Good location
In January, it was cool in the room, no slippers.

Off the main roads, it is a very quiet location but still very practical for visiting the city. Very modern with a lot of electrical appliances (flat screen tv, espresso machine in the room, ipod radio, etc.)
The size of the room was ridiculous. It was absolutely tiny, definitely not worth the 4 stars is boast or the price for the room. There was barely any space to move around and the bathroom was really small too. It's also a boutique hotel so quite small in size, you had to ring a doorbell to get in everytime and could take a couple of times before someone answered. The breakfast was ok but very expensive, not worth the price.

We loved the convenient location just 5 minutes from the Van Gogh Museum and also the lovely Vondel Park. The facilities were great (particularly in our upgraded Junior Suite!) and it was good to have the garden just outside patio doors.

cosy atmosphere, very small hotel with only 20+ rooms. Not comfortable with having room on ground level and in front of hotel, distrubed by noise. But staff willing to change the room second night to second floor which was much better.Really like tea/drinks facility for guests in the lobby area.
Room size are tight, but comfortable

We were upgraded to suite which was very luxurious, spacious and well outfitted. Location is great for access to Vondel park, museum area, shopping and Pijp district but for access to central Amsterdam prepare to walk or better still rent bikes at Mac's which is close by (we did).
Internet access is 6 Eur per day. Not overly expensive, but in an age where most hotels are providing free wifi this is a bit disappointing, especially considering the room rate. Our room was one level below the lobby and there was some noise as we could hear people walking on the floorboards above. Late checkout is 15 Eur per hour. Most hotels don't charge for this if they are not full. Also, check-in time is 3pm which is later than most hotels

We were traveling with our child, so we really loved the location of this hotel. It was on a quiet attractive street near Vondelpark. We were lucky enough to get street parking in front of the hotel which is free on weekends/holidays. The hotel has nice modern decorations and our room was a reasonable size. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel air conditioning was broken during our 2 night stay (and it was hot outside), but we were given free breakfast for our family -- and the breakfast was very good. The rear courtyard/garden was very nice and had a tiny canal and a family of ducks.
The air conditioning repair men were working on the system, but unfortunately it didn't get fixed during our stay. The hotel provided a free breakfast so we felt ok about the situation.

The hotel has good atmosphere, and stylish, cosy interior. Location is perfect for good dining, shopping and sightseeing. Wide choice of breakfast opportunities nearby, so you needn't pay 20Eur for too poor breakfast in the hotel.
The service was quite bad, on either check in and check out as there is only one receptionist, which is not always at the desk. During the first of two nights we had to suffer from freezing cold air coming from central conditioning/heating system, no matter which mode we set up on the control. So after we asked about the problem, we found that there had been some fault in the whole system and it was ok next day. Construction works in the next building started before 8.00 AM in the morning and it was so noisy and impossible to sleep, and even just stay in the room. Executive room had a coffee machine, but didn't have any tea/coffee cups. Minibar was charged, but no prices were shown anywhere.
